Welcome to the UEC Business Resource Center!

 

Umatilla Electric Cooperative created us, the UEC Business Resource Center, in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our initial purpose was to assist UEC businesses members affected by COVID-19 in applying for and receiving federal and state relief funds. We expanded our services to provide business owners with marketing support, business plan development, website design, budgeting review, and so much more.

As the need for COVID-19 assistance lessened, we shifted our assistance programs to meet the changing needs of UEC Members. Following is a list of our free and confidential services:

• Free &  Confidential Business Advising

  • Our knowledgeable advisors are experienced in a variety of business topics including writing a business plan, analyzing cash flow, marketing, hiring, intellectual property concerns, and more.

• Business Plan Development

  • The UEC Business Resource Center (UEC BRC) will work with you to develop a business plan that can be used to grow your business or apply for funding. Services are no-cost to you and all information is held confidential.

• Marketing & Brand Identity Training

  • The UEC BRC offers engaging workshops to equip business owners with the tools needed to establish a distinctive visual identity, and navigate the ever-evolving landscape of marketing.

• Economic/Financial Analysis

  • The UEC BRC specializes in helping you access capital. We will help you gather, analyze, and organize financial data for submittal to private and public lenders. Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) plays an active role in the development of our rural communities. Through the operation of the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF), UEC has the opportunity to assist members in the start-up, expansion, and recovery of small businesses.

• Social Media and Online Presence

  • The UEC BRC plays a crucial role in supporting small businesses to boost their social media and online presence through education, guidance, resources, and personalized support, ultimately helping them reach a wider audience and increase their online visibility and profitability.

• Understanding Artificial Intelligence

  • With Artificial Intelligence constantly evolving, small business owners can leverage it to their advantage. By combining education, personalized support, and practical resources, the UEC BRC can empower small businesses to harness the transformative power of AI, making it accessible and beneficial for their unique contexts.
